About

Colin Spencer is the author of more than a dozen cookery books and two award winning histories, of vegetarianism and the latest a history of British Food. A painter, playwright and novelist he is currently working on a novel set in the area.

Claire Clifton is also a journalist and food writer, the author of Edible Flowers and the Art of Food. Together we edited an anthology of food writing for Faber and Faber.

We are passionate about food in general and
seasonal local produce in particular, we hope
the breakfast menu reflects this enthusiasm.
